UW alumnae to speak at graduation ceremony

Two UW-Madison alumnae will speak to graduating students at spring commencement this year at the Kohl Center.

Wisconsin Supreme Court Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson, who earned her Doctor of Juridical Science degree from the UW-Madison Law School, will speak at the 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. ceremonies May 17.

Abrahamson has served on the state Supreme Court for nearly 32 years and has been chief justice since August 1996.

Kay Koplovitz, founder of the USA Network and chair of the board of Liz Claiborne Inc., among many other accomplishments, will speak May 18 at the 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. ceremonies.

Koplovitz earned her bachelor of science degree from UW-Madison in radio, television and film.
